The Photography Master Retreat is one-week retreat led by three mentors in the south of France for emerging and established photographers. Based on a new model which is not practice based. You will not shoot and learn how to do things. Your main activity will be to reflect, to look at the work you are making and have made, and think about what it actually means ... What’s good about it? And most importantly: What’s you about it? During this immersive workshop, you will rethink your work, refocus your trajectory and recharge your talents. During our communal meals and work sessions, you will bond with mentors and peers. One does not leave Esparon unchanged.

A communal atmosphere permeated all that we did – from our sessions and meetings to the homemade meals, to our walks and talks. This process combined with time to reflect provided like a cross between a graduate school critique and an artist colony. Extraordinary how every photographer there had an “epiphany” of one sort or another.
