APPLICATION AND SELECTION PROCESS:
THE PHOTOGRAPHY MASTER RETREAT is open by application only. Your application is due before or latest by March 1, 2017. The selection committee will review all applications with the portolios and contact the selected applicants by March 7, 2017.
THE APPLICATION IS SIMPLE AND FREE. IT SHOULD INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
A/ YOUR APPLICATION FORM IN A WORD DOCUMENT WITH YOUR NAME ON IT:
1/ A brief statement of your intention and your motivation to participate in THE PHOTOGRAPHY MASTER RETREAT. Please tell us in a few paragraphs where you currently see yourself and your work and where you feel want to be in the next several years (maximum 200 words).
2/ An Artist’s Statement (max 200 words).
3/ A brief biography (max 200 words).
4/ A link to your personal website.
5/ A short descriptive statement of 2-3 sentences for each project(s) that accompanies your application.

B/ YOUR FOLDER OF 20 IMAGES IN ZIPPED FOLDERS:
Maximum 20 photographic images (72 dpi, jpg format, longest side 600 pixels, saved as quality 10 max) from either of 1 or 2 bodies of work. Projects can be fine art, documentary, editorial.
Please name and number the photos in each project so we can view them in your designated sequence.
- Name and number them 01-20 if submitting one body of work, 01-10 if showing 2 projects. For example: 1st body of work: portraits_01, portraits_02, etc. 2nd project: snow_01, snow_02, etc.
- Create one zipped folder with your name, underscore then the name of EACH PROJECT. For example: 1st zipped folder: MartineFougeron_portraits: 2nd zipped folder: MartineFougeron_snow.
You will send these 20 images preferably in your e mail as a zipped folder labelled with the project name. Two folders if you have 2 projects, only one folder if you have one project.
If you can’t zip the folders, just send the labeled jpegs in your email.

The fee for THE PHOTOGRAPHY MASTER RETREAT is US $3,200 (approximately 2,800 euros). It includes all accommodation and meals. Airfare and transportation excluded. The fee includes 6 nights and 7 days of lodging, all breakfasts, lunches, and dinners as well as the welcome dinner on Sunday evening and celebration dinner on Friday night. It also includes optional mild meditation sessions and/or guided nature walks. It does not include airfare and travel to the house in Esparon.
Once you are selected, a non-refundable deposit of US $1,200.00 must accompany your confirmation to attend. The remaining payment of US $2,000 will be due by March 20, 2017. Single rooms are available to early registrants on request, for a supplemental fee of US $400.
